The founders of CareerDash have trained over 1,000 new sales professionals.  They have a combined 30+ years in sales management and have operated two successful sales training companies.  

Anyone looking to pursue a career in sales development or current professionals aiming to validate their skills can take this certification. It’s also great for individuals looking to stand out to hiring managers or recruiters.

The exam is administered by a live proctor on Zoom. You will be asked short and long answer questions and asked to play a number of role plays. The exam takes up to one hour.

Getting a good sales development role requires a combination of knowledge, skills and contacts.  Today’s Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) are notorious for rejecting qualified candidates.  The purpose of our advocacy is to help you get past the ATS and to secure an interview.

We provide a complete two-page description of the knowledge and skills required to be a successful sales development professional.  Although in a one hour exam, we cannot cover every topic, you should be prepared to demonstrate knowledge and skills in all areas on the exam outline.

You will receive your results within 1 business day from the completion of your exam.

We recommend utilizing our AI training prompts to prepare for the exam.  This is optional but it will help you maximize your chances of passing the exam.

Once you pass the exam, you will receive an official certificate that you can reference on your resume and LinkedIn profile.  Once you have notified us that you have completed your job search preparations (resume, LinkedIn profile and interview prep), we will begin advocating for you.

If you fail the Certification exam, you can purchase a retake package that includes the training program.  You must wait a minimum of 21 days to retake the exam.

Employers are often overwhelmed with applications for job postings.  They often rely on their ATS to screen candidates, but they know from experience that the ATS often rejects good candidates and also moves some unqualified candidates forward.  Respected certifications can help them identify truly qualified candidates.

First, you must prepare to pass the exam.  You can do this on your own or use our AI training prompts.  Second, after passing the exam, you must prepare yourself for the job search process.  This includes updating your resume and profile to meet industry best practices and preparing yourself for interviews.  Lastly, you must own the search process.  We will help advocate for you, but your job pursuit success is in your hands.

The exam is tough, but it is not nit-picky.  You are expected to know the key concepts of the sales development role, but you will not be penalized for not knowing exact terminology.  In the role plays, you will need to demonstrate that you have the skills to engage in phone prospecting.

We take the integrity of our process very seriously which is why every test is administered by a live proctor.  We forbid the use of notes, computer files and web searches during the exam.  If we see behavior that is consistent with any of these activities, we will warn you.  You will fail the exam without a refund if you continue to exhibit forbidden behaviors.

We guarantee that if you pass our exam, you are qualified to interview for most entry level sales development roles.  We can’t guarantee that you will get a job or even get specific interviews.  We can tip the scales in your favor by advocating for you to increase your chances of getting a chance to land your dream job.
