CareerDash Advocacy Service
Overview: The SDS Certificate is intended to help both candidates and hiring companies achieve their goals. For candidates, the certificate offers objective proof that they have the knowledge and skills to be considered a qualified candidate. For hiring companies, the certificate is an effective filtering mechanism to ensure that qualified candidates are considered and that valuable interviewing resources are not wasted on unqualified candidates.
CareerDash Advocacy: For candidates that pass the SDS Certification exam, CareerDash will advocate for the candidate with hiring companies. This advocacy will fall into three categories:
Role Specific Advocacy: Once candidate has fulfilled their responsibilities, CareerDash will attempt to engage contacts at up to five companies to advocate for the candidate for the roles for which he/she has applied. Advocacy must be requested within 60 days of the date certification was obtained.
Broad Candidate Advocacy: Once candidate has fulfilled their responsibilities, CareerDash will promote the candidate to its network of over 600 companies.
Broad Certification Advocacy: CareerDash will actively promote the value of the SDS Certificate to create hiring demand for certified candidates.
Candidate Responsibilities: Candidate bears the primary responsibility of securing a job and CareerDash’s role is to supplement the candidate’s efforts. CareerDash does not guarantee that either the certificate or the CareerDash advocacy will result in the candidate securing a job. Candidate responsibilities include:
Preparation: Candidate must update his/her resume and LinkedIn profile prior to requesting CareerDash advocacy following best practice guidelines. He/she must follow the recommended steps to prepare for interviews and practice interviewing with mentors or AI agents prior to requesting advocacy.
Application: Candidate must formally apply for jobs for which they are requesting role specific advocacy. They must share the job description and proof that he/she has applied (screenshot of application screen is sufficient).
Hiring Contact: Candidate must identify at least one contact that will be part of the selection process for the position for which they are seeking role specific advocacy. This should be either a recruiter, an HR manager or a sales manager. Candidate must obtain and share a link to the contacts LinkedIn profile.
